Great cooler. It’s nice when a company gives accurate internal/external dimensions. Fits perfect in my 14’ SOAR inflatable canoe.
Sent the blue one back cause the color is much lighter than pictured (cost $105 to ship so that sucked) but happy with this one.
Bought it for extensive use on multi-day river trips (just got off a 4-day trip) and the ice lasts a couple days in real-world use which is good, and water is still cold enough after four.
The built-in ruler on the top is JV but I just put a piece of gorilla tape over it.

I have owned Yeti, Grizzly, Bison, Canyon, and Engel. Just bought my second Bison. A few features of the Bison really shine, which I'll share here. I'm middle-aged and tend to buy smaller coolers so that I can heft them around more easily. There's also less wasted air space in these sizes, which works well for my camping trips. The 25-quart is such a great size for 1-2 people.
First, I would never buy another Yeti because the fit and finish are the lowest quality amongst roto-molded coolers. Next time you're near one, examine the rough seams along the outer edge of the lid. You may not have noticed this until someone pointed it out, but for the money, they should be finished better than they are. Yetis also have a shiny exterior that scratches easily and shows every mark. And, their latches are the worst! They've got a big name because of their focus on marketing, but I'm done with the brand. Grizzly is USA-made and better quality than Yeti, but the latches are still a pain.
Now, where Bison shines... There are no visible seams on Bison coolers. Everything is buffed to perfection. The fit-and-finish is THE BEST I have seen among premium coolers. The latches are the best in the industry, durable and easy on the hands. And, I appreciate that Bison has no screws attaching the latches to the plastic wall of the cooler, as some other brands do (a weakness, in my opinion).

This ice chest is by far the most impressive cooler I’ve ever purchased! I’m an avid hunter and fisherman and I’m constantly using ice chest to preserve meat for several days. The bison held ice for over two solid weeks in the back of my truck with the temps in the 70s down here in South AL. Has surpassed the performance of both my YETIs and RTIC coolers. I was so impressed with my 75q I purchased this summer that I had to have this 25q to hold my drinks. Bison definitely has my business!
